Elf hardhouten blokken in een houten kistje. Een blokkendoos, gewoon speelgoed.
Totdat we ermee gaan spelen.
Als we de stukken in elkaar zetten, vormen ze een machinegeweer op ware grootte. Mensen moeten meer spelen, écht spelen. Met elkaar. Weg achter die computer en naar buiten!
Met een geweer speel je niet, toch oogt het vriendelijk, met afgeronde hoeken en een aangename, lichte kleur. Een dubbel gevoel dat te denken geeft.

In april 2008, RATATA was selected by Lidewij Edelkoort for the exhibition Still at the Salone del Mobile in Milano. After that, it went on a small tour through Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands in several exhibitions.

Eleven pieces of wood in a wooden box. A blocks set, just a toy. Until we start to play with it. When we put the pieces together, it becomes a full size machine gun. People should play more, really play more. With eachother. Away from that computer, get outside! You don't play with a gun, yet it looks friendly, with its smooth edges and a pleasant light color.
There's two emotions hidden inside that provide food for thought.

RATATA werd in april 2008 geselecteerd door Lidewij Edelkoort voor de tentoonstelling Still in Milaan tijdens de Salone del Mobile. Daarna te zien bij diverse tentoonstellingen in Italië, België en Nederland.
